In the 15th minute, Alejandro Caton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Union's zone, Gaspar Jaunzuria stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Haroldo Cambranes came out of the goal and Gaspar Jaunzuria tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Barón Rojo booed when Club Atletico Union was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matias Janpier didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 30th minute, Alejandro Caton got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eleuterio Mosen hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Laureano Rencio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fabricio Elorri in the 39th minute of the match. 40 minutes into the match, Alejandro Caton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Laureano Rencio. Barón Rojo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alejandro Caton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Union's Atilano Donzel got a free kick in the 44th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alejandro Caton was the one to do the kick off. Club Atletico Union's Alejandro Caton got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 54 minutes into the match, Barón Rojo's goal looked a bit too open when Alejandro Caton came free, but Laureano Rencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Barón Rojo getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Eleuterio Mosen hit a great ball. Laureano Rencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alejandro Caton in the 56th minute of play. After 58 minutes, Jairo Ruy mouthed his way into the referee's book. Alejandro Caton had several of the Barón Rojo's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 60 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-3 score and a disappointed Laureano Rencio as he didn't even see the shot coming. Gualterio Jerardo charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. After 77 played minutes, Barón Rojo's Jairo Ruy shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Haroldo Cambranes came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Barón Rojo reached it. If Alejandro Caton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Club Atletico Union's Atilano Donzel got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alejandro Caton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Laureano Rencio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Haroldo Cambranes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hermengildo Feliu, who was totally free with the ball in the 98th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermengildo Feliu in the 98th minute of play forced Club Atletico Union's goalkeeper Haroldo Cambranes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Club Atletico Union's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
