In the 36thth minute of the game Delmiro Jacob who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Providencia AFC's Jorge Venerando was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Delmiro Jacob stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Providencia FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Remigio Cambranes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Providencia AFC played a much better game than Providencia FC and deserved their victory. The Providencia FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
