Jacobo Hanot's late challenge caught a Providencia AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jacobo Hanot helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Providencia AFC booed when El Blanco y Negro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacobo Hanot didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 10 minutes of play El Blanco y Negro's Jacobo Hanot was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Remigio Cambranes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Providencia AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Remigio Cambranes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wilfredo Vachon breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 15th match minute, El Blanco y Negro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jacinto Aznaro to maneuver through the defense. Lyubomir Gerginski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Remigio Cambranes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilfredo Vachon having to interfere. Wilfredo Vachon made a fantastic save in the 39th minute, when Remigio Cambranes sent off a good shot on target. Wilfredo Vachon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lyubomir Gerginski in the 40th minute. El Blanco y Negro's Narciso Sancho got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Remigio Cambranes in the 45thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Wilfredo Vachon, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save.

53 minutes into the match, Providencia AFC's goalkeeper Jorge Venerando had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Narciso Sancho. Remigio Cambranes struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Wilfredo Vachon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Providencia AFC. Feliberto Giraldo hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute of the game Pedro Louis made a throw-in which Jacinto Aznaro played forward. After a rather tough play, Providencia AFC's Remigio Cambranes got a free kick in the 68th minute. Providencia AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 69th minute, when Narciso Sancho scored to the left of an out of position Jorge Venerando, making the score, 1-1. 74 minutes into the match, El Blanco y Negro's goal looked a bit too open when Remigio Cambranes came free, but Wilfredo Vachon reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to El Blanco y Negro getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Rene Iruinea hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Remigio Cambranes in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilfredo Vachon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Remigio Cambranes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilfredo Vachon having to make a save. In the 88th match minute, El Blanco y Negro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rene Iruinea to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Remigio Cambranes in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilfredo Vachon prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Despite being the better team, Providencia AFC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
