The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With 4 minutes on the clock, Alejandro Feliz commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 5th minute, Alejandro Feliz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Costin Iosub's late challenge caught a Boca Juniors's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Costin Iosub helped the player get up and apologised. After 7 played minutes Puna AFC got a freekick which was hit by Costin Iosub. Virgilio Martinez kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 10 minutes into the game, Bernardo Lia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Puna AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Boca Juniors the free kick. In the 10th minute, Bernardo Lia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 14 played minutes Puna AFC got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Totakoxe. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucio Sustrai in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teobald Flis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Puna AFC defense, Teobald Zdanowicz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teobald Flis. The Puna AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teobald Flis should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Lia in the 28th minute of play forced Boca Juniors's goalkeeper Celso Coca to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Celso Coca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bernardo Lia in the 32nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lucio Sustrai in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teobald Flis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 37 minutes into the match, Puna AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonel Hitz came free, but Teobald Flis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teobald Flis didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Teobald Zdanowicz went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Florencio Laurgain hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Costin Iosub was the one to do the kick off. Bernardo Lia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wladyslaw Maurycy's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Celso Coca read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Costin Iosub sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 64 minutes into the match, Boca Juniors's goal looked a bit too open when Costin Iosub came free, but Celso Coca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bernardo Lia recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Celso Coca stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Costin Iosub's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. Lucio Sustrai blasted a shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teobald Flis having to make a save. After 77 minutes of play, Puna AFC's Bernardo Lia made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Celso Coca was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 87th minute, Costin Iosub got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Teobald Zdanowicz in the 89th minute of play forced Puna AFC's goalkeeper Teobald Flis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Bernardo Lia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Celso Coca. Boca Juniors's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bernardo Lia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. Puna AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
