Federico Savion showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mariano Urtsua in the 9th minute of the match. In the 11th minute, Mariano Urtsua got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mariano Urtsua in the 14th minute of play forced Novena Legion's goalkeeper Federico Savion to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 16 minutes, Mario Bortzaioriz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rivadavia FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mario Bortzaioriz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vinicio Modestio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vladimiro Olayo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 22 minutes into the match, Rivadavia FC's goalkeeper Vinicio Modestio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santo Blasi. In the 26th minute, Novena Legion's Vladimiro Olayo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Vinicio Modestio. Vinicio Modestio yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 33rd match minute, Novena Legion was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lorenzo Tolino to maneuver through the defense. Mariano Urtsua struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Federico Savion didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rivadavia FC. In the 43rd minute Vladimiro Olayo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinicio Modestio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Mariano Urtsua made the kick off in the second half. Adrian Fonso sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute Mariano Urtsua shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Federico Savion saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Novena Legion's Federico Savion proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Novena Legion from getting a goal against them. Federico Savion made a fantastic save in the 73rd minute, when Adrian Fonso sent off a good shot on target. After 81 minutes, Santo Blasi made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Rivadavia FC's Vinicio Modestio tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Adrian Fonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee felt a red card was in order, 90 minutes into the game, when Abelardo Adrio put in a rough tackle. After 90 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Novena Legion! After a rather tough play, Rivadavia FC's Mario Bortzaioriz got a free kick in the 95th minute. Rivadavia FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
