Jonny Mager fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maximiliano Pancho having to interfere. Celestino Umbruso hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. When the match clock showed 8 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Jonny Mager sped through Wahnren FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Maximiliano Pancho. 11 minutes into the match, Barrio La Florida's Florencio Oliviero sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Maximiliano Pancho narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Jonny Mager came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Barrio La Florida fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonny Mager couldn't finish the play. 17 minutes into the match, Wahnren FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jonny Mager came free, but Maximiliano Pancho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Wahnren FC's Romulo Leguizamón slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Cecilio Baraquiel. That made the score 1-1 after 20 minutes of play. 26 minutes into the match, Jonny Mager had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Maximiliano Pancho. Wahnren FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonny Mager was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After 35 minutes of play, Barrio La Florida's Zacarias Gorri made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maximiliano Pancho was left in no man's land by his defense there! Barrio La Florida's Jonny Mager got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonny Mager might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Maximiliano Pancho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonny Mager ran back to his position shaking his head. Zacarias Gorri sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Barrio La Florida booed when Wahnren FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melchor Peyo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Narciso Stephen was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Barrio La Florida's Zacarias Gorri ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Maximiliano Pancho. Maximiliano Pancho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. If Zacarias Gorri had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Florencio Oliviero recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Wahnren FC's Prudencio Escobar got a free kick in the 67th minute. Maximiliano Pancho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jonny Mager in the 68th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the game, Ulryk Poling recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Maximiliano Pancho. Ulryk Poling showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-6. Maximiliano Pancho stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jonny Mager's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Wahnren FC's zone, Mauro Nabar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maximiliano Pancho came out of the goal and Mauro Nabar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Florencio Oliviero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jonny Mager's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Maximiliano Pancho firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 82nd match minute, Wahnren FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melchor Peyo to maneuver through the defense. If Jonny Mager had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wahnren FC's Maximiliano Pancho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Wahnren FC from getting a goal against them. If Andres Gelacio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Narciso Stephen came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Wahnren FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Narciso Stephen couldn't finish the play. Through an outstanding action, after 98 minutes, Maximiliano Pancho successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 98th minute, Barrio La Florida's Jonny Mager ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Maximiliano Pancho. Maximiliano Pancho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-8. Barrio La Florida played a much better game than Wahnren FC and deserved their victory. The Wahnren FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
