Cabildo's Guillermo Piearres got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabio Roldanillo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 24thth minute, Gonzalo Aznar skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Guillermo Piearres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Cabildo getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Bernardino Gorri hit a great ball. Edgardo Mede was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 29th played minute, shot the ball from way out. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Angelo Errolan to make the kick off. Fabio Roldanillo ran back to his position shaking his head. Guillermo Piearres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gonzalo Aznar having to interfere. A collision led to Challacó getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Alonzo Rios hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Roldanillo in the 85th minute of play forced Challacó's goalkeeper Gonzalo Aznar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 85 minutes, Elias Beremundo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Challacó and the Cabildo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Elias Beremundo hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Cabildo's Fabio Roldanillo managed to work through Challacó's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Fabio Roldanillo dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. After a rather tough play, Challacó's Edgardo Mede got a free kick in the 91st minute. In the 94thth minute of the game Guillermo Piearres who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Challacó's Gonzalo Aznar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gonzalo Aznar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Guillermo Piearres, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Cabildo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
