After a defensive mix-up in Reñico AFC's zone, Teobaldo Loiola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Denis Shepherd came out of the goal and Teobaldo Loiola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 28th minute, Teobaldo Loiola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jacobo Viviano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ildefonso Cloyo, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Osvaldo Moreno to strike the kick off in the second half. Leopoldo Odol's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Denis Shepherd read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. DP trueno verde's Jacobo Viviano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernan Pedroso in the 86th minute of play.
