Javier Guifre made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Romulo Olentzaro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Javier Guifre made a huge save. Fulgencio Haitz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Danilo Aires tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute, Vergara FC's Modesto Eder ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Javier Guifre. Javier Guifre yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Javier Guifre was a little too slow when Modesto Eder got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 4-0. Norumbega's Javier Guifre proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Norumbega from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Octavio Cordaro got free with Javier Guifre in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Norumbega's Javier Guifre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gaudencio Florin in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Norumbega's goal looked a bit too open when Modesto Eder came free, but Javier Guifre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee ignored Norumbega's protests and gave Ambrosio Urko a yellow card for diving instead. After 34 played minutes Norumbega got a freekick which was hit by Ambrosio Urko. 35 minutes into the match, Norumbega's goalkeeper Javier Guifre had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Octavio Cordaro. Norumbega's Javier Guifre played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Modesto Eder in the 37th minute of play. Vergara FC's Modesto Eder was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 38th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Javier Guifre took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Modesto Eder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Modesto Eder made a kick off. Javier Guifre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Modesto Eder in the 93rd minute of the match.
