Octavio Cordaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carmelo Firman having to interfere. Danilo Aires showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Belasko in the 5th minute of the match. In the 8thth minute of the game Modesto Eder who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Racing Club's Carmelo Firman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 9 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Adolfo Naelio. Octavio Cordaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carmelo Firman having to interfere. 17 minutes into the match, Esteve Erauso notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Racing Club's Carmelo Firman. Carmelo Firman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 23 minutes of play, Vergara FC's Modesto Eder made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carmelo Firman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Racing Club's Carmelo Firman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octavio Cordaro in the 26th minute of play. Vergara FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Modesto Eder in the 27th minute. If Octavio Cordaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Modesto Eder got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Danilo Aires had great luck who in the 32ndth minute grab hold of the ball when Alfredo Belasko from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Octavio Cordaro put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Carmelo Firman. Vergara FC's Modesto Eder got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Celestino Ireno blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Danilo Aires having to make a save. Modesto Eder received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Carmelo Firman came out and tried to block the shot, but Modesto Eder slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 56th minute. The supporters of Racing Club booed when Vergara FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Modesto Eder didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 71 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Ricardo Caitano. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Modesto Eder managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vergara FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Modesto Eder was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carmelo Firman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 76 minutes into the match, Racing Club's goalkeeper Carmelo Firman had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Octavio Cordaro. Racing Club's Carmelo Firman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Modesto Eder in the 83rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Racing Club's zone, Octavio Cordaro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Carmelo Firman came out of the goal and Octavio Cordaro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Racing Club defense, Octavio Cordaro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carmelo Firman. The Racing Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carmelo Firman should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteve Erauso in the 95th minute of play forced Racing Club's goalkeeper Carmelo Firman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vergara FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
