A collision led to LA LOCA ACADEMIA getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Cosme Feo hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, Ancón's Urbano Palos threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Arnaldo Koldo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ildefonso Edorta in the 44th minute of play forced Ancón's goalkeeper Pascual Gipuzkoa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ildefonso Edorta to make the kick off.
