With a little luck, Victorica AFC's Romeo Belo got control of the ball when Claudio Leizarraga tried to sneak it across the goal line. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 21 minutes into the match, UAI Urquiza's goal looked a bit too open when Haroldo Oxarra came free, but Guaberto Jax reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guaberto Jax made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adan Casado in the 27th minute of play. When Victorica AFC's Adan Casado in 29 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Guaberto Jax guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. If Adan Casado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Haroldo Oxarra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Haroldo Oxarra came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Victorica AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haroldo Oxarra couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Adan Casado was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind UAI Urquiza's goalkeeper Guaberto Jax, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Haroldo Oxarra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to Victorica AFC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Saturnino Shantala hit a great ball. Through an outstanding action, after 76 minutes, Guaberto Jax successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Adan Casado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 82 played minutes UAI Urquiza got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Guipuzkoa. Vinicio Semeno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Romeo Belo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Haroldo Oxarra sped through UAI Urquiza's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Guaberto Jax. Adan Casado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Victorica AFC's Aureliano Acevedo got a free kick in the 98th minute.
