In the 13th minute Cristobal Fliz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Juan Merexildo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Francisco Bastian was a little too slow when Prospero Porfiro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 17th minute. The score was now 1-0. Edgardo Che blasted a shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Francisco Bastian having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in LA PATERNAL's zone, Prospero Porfiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Bastian came out of the goal and Prospero Porfiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Corazuli FC defense, Mauro Goiz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Juan Merexildo. The Corazuli FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Juan Merexildo should have stopped the shot. Tomas Laurentzi placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Fulgencio Azubeli's late challenge caught a Corazuli FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Fulgencio Azubeli helped the player get up and apologised. Fulgencio Azubeli kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. In the 48th minute there was a penalty for LA PATERNAL. Tomas Laurentzi stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Juan Merexildo. 1-2. The Corazuli FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. LA PATERNAL were winning 1-2.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victorino Quentin in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Francisco Bastian prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fulgencio Azubeli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Juan Merexildo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 63 minutes, Cristobal Fliz took a quick shot and it went in 1-3 without a chance for Juan Merexildo to make any attempt to save it. After 66 minutes of play, LA PATERNAL's Fulgencio Azubeli made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Juan Merexildo was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristobal Fliz during the 68th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 69 played minutes LA PATERNAL got a freekick which was hit by Cristobal Fliz. Corazuli FC's Severiano Txordon got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in LA PATERNAL's zone, Prospero Porfiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisco Bastian came out of the goal and Prospero Porfiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 75th minute, Bernardino Montxo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the match, LA PATERNAL's goal looked a bit too open when Victorino Quentin came free, but Francisco Bastian reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Victorino Quentin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Francisco Bastian was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Fulgencio Azubeli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-4 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene.
