Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jaime Stanislao in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Danilo Sarracino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 39th match minute, Ovara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jesus Gaueko to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Heracles Almelo's Gonzalo Ofelio got a free kick in the 40th minute. The Ovara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tobias Iruinea should have stopped the shot. If Candido Perrando had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gonzalo Ofelio charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gonzalo Ofelio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 74th minute, one of Heracles Almelo:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Heracles Almelo. Heracles Almelo's Danilo Sarracino proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Heracles Almelo from getting a goal against them. Ovara's Froilan Lop got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cornelio Paez kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Froilan Lop sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Isidoro Cresenciano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Heracles Almelo's supporters rose to their feet, but Isidoro Cresenciano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tobias Iruinea breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
