Spectators: 7122 (Terracing: 5343, Seating: 1638, VIP seats: 141) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Narciso Edur took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Nacional.uy's goal looked a bit too open when Cristobal Serapio came free, but Norberto Ipar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Narciso Edur fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Nacional.uy's protests and gave Narciso Edur a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th match minute, Nacional.uy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Narciso Edur to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Nacional.uy getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Tomás Jerardo hit a great ball. Cristobal Serapio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Norberto Ipar having to make a save. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Cristobal Serapio took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Norberto Ipar to make any attempt to save it. Benito Hegoi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Narciso Edur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristobal Serapio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Norberto Ipar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Nacional.uy's zone, Augusto Nataniel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Norberto Ipar came out of the goal and Augusto Nataniel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Augusto Nataniel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cristobal Serapio might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Norberto Ipar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristobal Serapio ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 38th minute, Augusto Nataniel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristobal Serapio in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Norberto Ipar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bernardo Isusko's late challenge caught a C. A. EL RAYO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bernardo Isusko helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of C. A. EL RAYO booed when Nacional.uy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo Isusko didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 44th minute of the match, Cristobal Serapio tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Norberto Ipar saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. 44 minutes into the match, Cristobal Serapio notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Nacional.uy's Norberto Ipar. Norberto Ipar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristobal Serapio stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match clock showed 52 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Cristobal Serapio sped through Nacional.uy's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Norberto Ipar. If Augusto Nataniel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Norberto Ipar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristobal Serapio, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Alfonso Torres's late challenge caught a C. A. EL RAYO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfonso Torres helped the player get up and apologised. In the 62nd match minute, Nacional.uy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Torres to maneuver through the defense. After 74 minutes of play, C. A. EL RAYO's Augusto Nataniel made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Norberto Ipar was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Tomás Jerardo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tobias Gonza during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Nacional.uy fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 86th minute. Penalty! C. A. EL RAYO's Benito Hegoi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narciso Edur in the 92nd minute of play. Norberto Ipar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristobal Serapio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee ended the match the C. A. EL RAYO players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
