Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Zeledon Gonsalvo successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 11 minutes into the match, Nacate's Gerardo Froylan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zeledon Gonsalvo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 13th minute Vladimiro Leguizamón shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Gonsalvo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aristides Elizardo charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The throw-in from Gerardo Froylan in the 29th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Club Somisa's Simon Quentin. The crowd rose to their feet as Gerardo Froylan kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Zeledon Gonsalvo. That made the score 2-0 in the 34 minute of play. In the 37th minute, Gerardo Froylan made a precise shot to the right of Zeledon Gonsalvo. Club Somisa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Börje Asmundsson took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hugo Hermelando. Hugo Hermelando dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Zeledon Gonsalvo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimiro Leguizamón in the 55th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Börje Asmundsson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Club Somisa fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. After a defensive mix-up in Nacate's zone, Börje Asmundsson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugo Hermelando came out of the goal and Börje Asmundsson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gerardo Froylan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Zeledon Gonsalvo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 78th minute, Jimeno Umbruso left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nacate fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. In the 83rd minute, Börje Asmundsson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal.
