In the 3rd minute, Polat Gökkır got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Freddy Arlo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mateo Eron, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Chivo F.C's Polat Gökkır got a free kick in the 6th minute. A collision led to Chivo F.C getting a freekick after 8 minutes play. Vinicio Indartsu hit a great ball. Freddy Arlo came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Argentinos JRS's Nemesio Loreto. But to his dismay, Nemesio Loreto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 14 minutes into the match, Chivo F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Nemesio Loreto came free, but Freddy Arlo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With 15 minutes on the clock, Feliberto Havier commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Feliberto Havier hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Sergio Ortle kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Fernando Cebrian fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Arlo having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Chivo F.C's zone, Mateo Eron stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Freddy Arlo came out of the goal and Mateo Eron tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mateo Eron in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Freddy Arlo saved Chivo F.C from getting behind. When Mateo Eron fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Argentinos JRS's protests and gave Mateo Eron a yellow card for diving instead. Mateo Eron might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Freddy Arlo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mateo Eron ran back to his position shaking his head. After 46 minutes, Sergio Ortle mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chivo F.C and the Argentinos JRS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 46 played minutes Chivo F.C got a freekick which was hit by Sergio Ortle. 47 minutes into the match, Chivo F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Mateo Eron came free, but Freddy Arlo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mateo Eron was the one to do the kick off. Durval de Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 57 played minutes Argentinos JRS got a freekick which was hit by Loukas Kapetanoglou. 60 minutes into the match, Argentinos JRS's goal looked a bit too open when Polat Gökkır came free, but Karl-Magnus Axelsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mateo Eron in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Freddy Arlo saved Chivo F.C from getting behind. Argentinos JRS's Karl-Magnus Axelsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Polat Gökkır in the 70th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Mateo Eron put it in 0-3 from a short distance just to the right of Freddy Arlo. In the 77th minute, Felix Winkelmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Argentinos JRS's Lucas Astrada was substituted for Nemesio Loreto. The supporters of Argentinos JRS booed when Chivo F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Winkelmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mateo Erons short, quick shot in the 80thth minute got Freddy Arlo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Mateo Eron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felix Winkelmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Karl-Magnus Axelsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Chivo F.C's Freddy Arlo got control of the ball when Mateo Eron tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ariel Quirze struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Freddy Arlo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Argentinos JRS. Argentinos JRS played a much better game than Chivo F.C and deserved their victory. The Chivo F.C players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
