In the 46th minute the ball was on its way in behind Amboy's goalkeeper Guillermo Montrel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Jonatan Gaizkine made the kick off in the second half. Melquiades Iturri kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. After having played for 58 minutes, Jonatan Gaizkine managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Amboy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonatan Gaizkine was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Deportivo Monteverde's Rafael Ekain got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Guillermo Montrel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Ekain, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hernan Breogan got a throw-in 80 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Angel Xabat. After 85 played minutes Jonatan Gaizkine rounded Deportivo Monteverde's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-3. In the 89th minute, Rafael Ekain ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Guillermo Montrel was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Gavino Eneto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Ivan Rayman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Amboy could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Deportivo Monteverde throughout the match.
