Fidel Froila made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Efrain Ferrando in the 12th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Raquidea FC's Augusto Hibai got a free kick in the 20th minute. When Samuel Bartuelo came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Raquidea FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Samuel Bartuelo couldn't finish the play. Efrain Ferrando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the match, Raquidea FC's goal looked a bit too open when Efrain Ferrando came free, but Fidel Froila reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 44th minute, Arsenio Gaspard left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Arsenio Gaspards short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Fidel Froila to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 96th minute, Arsenio Gaspard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the final whistle sounded Peñarol left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Raquidea FC.
