Telo Lizaur started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute Telo Lizaur shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xaiver Urquijo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. António Pedroso took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Xaiver Urquijo. Xaiver Urquijo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. The supporters of Puerto USB booed when Famatina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pablo Gau didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 21st minute Nereo Quinteros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xaiver Urquijo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Telo Lizaur in the 22nd minute of play forced Famatina's goalkeeper Xaiver Urquijo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jeronimo Demario showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nestor Fidensio, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After 26 minutes, Honorato Austin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Puerto USB and the Famatina players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th match minute, Puerto USB was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorato Austin to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nereo Quinteros got free with Xaiver Urquijo in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a rather tough play, Puerto USB's Teofilo Quirze got a free kick in the 31st minute. 35 minutes into the game, Famatina's Pablo Gau nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jeronimo Demario made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Xaiver Urquijo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Telo Lizaur in the 40th minute of the match. After 42 minutes, Pablo Gau mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Famatina and the Puerto USB players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 44th minute, Puerto USB's Nereo Quinteros dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Telo Lizaur managed to get in a good position for a shot. Puerto USB's supporters rose to their feet, but Telo Lizaur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Xaiver Urquijo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 55th minute António Pedroso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xaiver Urquijo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 55 played minutes Famatina got a freekick which was hit by Silverio Eusko. Frank-Ulrich Kröning charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Frank-Ulrich Kröning the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Puerto USB booed when Famatina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank-Ulrich Kröning didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute, Telo Lizaur left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Puerto USB fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. 64 minutes into the game, Nereo Quinteros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Xaiver Urquijo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Xaiver Urquijo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnulfo Satordi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pablo Gau struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Jeronimo Demario didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Famatina. In the 81st minute, Efrain Iratxo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Famatina's Xaiver Urquijo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Telo Lizaur in the 83rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by António Pedroso in the 84th minute of play forced Famatina's goalkeeper Xaiver Urquijo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd match minute, Famatina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Dolfos to maneuver through the defense. Puerto USB walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
