The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sotelo's Higinio Enmanuel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Maldonado in the 20th minute of play. Arnulfo Aznaro took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Robustiano Pirmin. Robustiano Pirmin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 26 minutes into the game, Gerardo Elija was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Panquehá's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sotelo the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Panquehá fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 25th minute. Penalty! Panquehá's Robustiano Pirmin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Panquehá from getting a goal against them. 32 minutes into the match, Sotelo's goal looked a bit too open when Angelo Pereyra came free, but Higinio Enmanuel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Panquehá's Robustiano Pirmin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ambrosio Vellito in the 34th minute of play. Sotelo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arnulfo Aznaro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Robustiano Pirmin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ambrosio Vellito's shot from short distance in the 47th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Felix Maldonado to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ambrosio Vellito in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Robustiano Pirmin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 77th minute Hermengildo Lauren suffered a foot injury and had to be helped off the field. After 77 minutes, Basilio Calvet mouthed his way into the referee's book. The Panquehá fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robustiano Pirmin should have stopped the shot. When the referee ended the match the Sotelo players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
