The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 7 played minutes Moctezuma AFC got a freekick which was hit by Filiberto Eyague. Through an outstanding action, after 10 minutes, Amador Ekhi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Fabio Fe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 13 minutes into the match, Moctezuma AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Flavio Panino came free, but David Aurre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Fabio Fe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Flavio Panino took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Aurre. David Aurre dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Gavino Sabin's late challenge caught a Gonnet FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gavino Sabin helped the player get up and apologised. Gavino Sabin kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Octavio Urbasa struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. David Aurre didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gonnet FC. Pastor Laurentzi kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Octavio Urbasa stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 60 minutes into the game, Lino Montes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gonnet FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Moctezuma AFC the free kick. In the 67th minute, Gonnet FC's Octavio Urbasa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind David Aurre. David Aurre yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Gonnet FC's Maxim Gavrilescu was substituted for Octavio Urbasa. 76 minutes into the game, Fabio Fe cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Amador Ekhi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 86 minutes into the match, Filiberto Eyague had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amador Ekhi. Gonnet FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Filiberto Eyague was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. In the 90th minute, Gonnet FC's Maxim Gavrilescu dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. David Aurre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maxim Gavrilescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maxim Gavrilescu got free with David Aurre in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
