After a defensive mix-up in C.A Devoto Sports's zone, Osvaldo Iraunkor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Severino Laurendi came out of the goal and Osvaldo Iraunkor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Osvaldo Iraunkor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Severino Laurendi having to interfere. Oscar Åkerman scored 1-0 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Severino Laurendi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arturo Playo hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cleto Oto in the 31st minute of play forced San Lorenzo's goalkeeper Angelino Frantzes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcos Tauro hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, San Lorenzo's Damaso Cordarrell got a free kick in the 37th minute. When the match had been going on for 55 minutes, C.A Devoto Sports's Cleto Oto got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Angelino Frantzes. Angelino Frantzes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Poncio in the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st minute Cleto Oto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angelino Frantzes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 69 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Osvaldo Iraunkor sped through C.A Devoto Sports's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Severino Laurendi. In the 72nd minute, Joaquin Iaki reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Angelino Frantzes. The goal made the score 2-3. When Oscar Åkerman came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the San Lorenzo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Oscar Åkerman couldn't finish the play. When Marcos Xacintu fell near the penalty area in the 83rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Lorenzo's protests and gave Marcos Xacintu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 83rd minute, Marcos Xacintu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. C.A Devoto Sports's Jorge Loco was substituted for Joaquin Iaki. Marcos Xacintu kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. 85 minutes into the match, C.A Devoto Sports's Cleto Oto broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. In the 88th minute, Mauricio Diagur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Osvaldo Iraunkor kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Osvaldo Iraunkor managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Lorenzo's supporters rose to their feet, but Osvaldo Iraunkor was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Severino Laurendi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. C.A Devoto Sports played a much better game than San Lorenzo and deserved their victory. The San Lorenzo players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
