The audience was convinced that Evaristo Quinten's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luis Sasoin was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nicola Di Matteo to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Mouras AFC's zone, Nicola Di Matteo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luis Sasoin came out of the goal and Nicola Di Matteo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 54th minute Evaristo Quinten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luis Sasoin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Efrain Carlomagno had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nicola Di Matteo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luis Sasoin having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Evaristo Quinten had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Luis Sasoin. Mouras AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Evaristo Quinten was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Mouras AFC's Luis Sasoin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evaristo Quinten in the 70th minute of play. 71 minutes into the match, Mouras AFC's goalkeeper Luis Sasoin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nicola Di Matteo. In the 88th minute, Miramar AFC's Evaristo Quinten ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Luis Sasoin. Luis Sasoin yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. Miramar AFC played a much better game than Mouras AFC and deserved their victory. The Mouras AFC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
