Rein Arumeel might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lisandro Ascencio. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rein Arumeel ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 78th minute Frye González shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Angel Castulo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angel Castulo came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Atalanta B.C.'s Paulino Crescencio. But to his dismay, Paulino Crescencio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Frye González sped through Saujil FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Angel Castulo. Angel Castulo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ciriaco Cordearo in the 89th minute. If Paulino Crescencio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
