After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Roman Gagriel managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aminga AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Roman Gagriel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aldo Blasco breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jeremias Ugutz could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Aldo Blasco made a huge save. A collision led to Aminga AFC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Aldo Taurino hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Salto AFC's zone, Roman Gagriel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aldo Blasco came out of the goal and Roman Gagriel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jeremias Ugutz succeeded in the game's 40th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-0. If Roman Gagriel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wilfredo Loco to make the kick off. The supporters of Salto AFC booed when Aminga AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matias Ermano didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th match minute, Aminga AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aldo Taurino to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredo Mattin in the 82nd minute of play forced Salto AFC's goalkeeper Aldo Blasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Aminga AFC's Matias Ermano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aldo Blasco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Aldo Blasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roman Gagriel in the 86th minute of the match. Guido Benitez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alfredo Mattin charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alfredo Mattin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Aminga AFC's Alfredo Mattin got a free kick in the 95th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Aminga AFC had won after a very even match.
