With a couple of smart ball manuevers Samuel Cordarin in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Siro Eliu saved Los Karatecas del Sonido from getting behind. Esteban Santo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Emanuel Santxol made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonardo Gaizkine in the 25th minute of play forced Los Karatecas del Sonido's goalkeeper Siro Eliu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute Joaquin Enol shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Santxol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 29 minutes, Emanuel Santxol successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Joaquin Enol kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emanuel Santxol. That made the score 1-0 in the 35 minute of play. The supporters of C.S Y B. ATENAS booed when Los Karatecas del Sonido was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joaquin Enol didn't get a good kick on the ball. Esteban Santo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 44th minute of the match, but Emanuel Santxol made a huge save. Emanuel Santxol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquin Enol in the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Samuel Cordarin was the one to do the kick off. When the match clock showed 54 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Samuel Cordarin sped through Los Karatecas del Sonido's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Siro Eliu. Emanuel Santxol showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Esteban Santo, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. ATENAS supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing C.S Y B. ATENAS would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
