Judith Te Mea's Artemio Batista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustin Segio in the 19th minute of play. Godofredo Vargas scored 0-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Artemio Batista, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 24th minute, Txema Landa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 36thth minute of the game Agustin Segio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Judith Te Mea's Artemio Batista was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Judith Te Mea defense, Agustin Segio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Artemio Batista. The Judith Te Mea fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Artemio Batista should have stopped the shot. In the 47th minute Txema Landa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artemio Batista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Judith Te Mea players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Club Atletico Sarmiento were winning 0-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomás Niguel to make the kick off. Tomás Niguel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 60 minutes, Artemio Batista successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Artemio Batista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Txema Landa in the 62nd minute of play.
