When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Juan Sandaili sped through S.F. 26 DE SEPTIEMBRE's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Christian Felipo. Juan Sandaili fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Felipo having to interfere. 3-0 became the score in the 34th minute when Juan Sandaili elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 43 minutes into the game, Club Atletico Sarmiento's Txema Landa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christian Felipo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 5-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Higinio Otsoa to make the kick off. If Agustin Segio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Agustin Segio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Christian Felipo having to make a save. Rodolfo Sal didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 57th minute, which inside left pole to 5-1. S.F. 26 DE SEPTIEMBRE's Christian Felipo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Sandaili in the 59th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, S.F. 26 DE SEPTIEMBRE's goal looked a bit too open when Agustin Segio came free, but Christian Felipo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Agustin Segio took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Christian Felipo. Club Atletico Sarmiento's supporters rose to their feet, but Agustin Segio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Christian Felipo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Christian Felipo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustin Segio, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute.
