With a little luck, Defensores de Marucha's Gaston Ramirez got control of the ball when Melchor Cordario tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Unión AFC's Higinio Aureo got a free kick in the 30th minute. Gaston Ramirez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christian Pirmin in the 33rd minute of the match. 34 minutes into the game, Candido Idacio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Defensores de Marucha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Unión AFC the free kick. In the 34th match minute, Defensores de Marucha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Candido Idacio to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute Ismael Loi suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vicente Milian during the 35th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 35 minutes into the game, one of Defensores de Marucha:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Melchor Cordario made a kick off. In the 60th minute Melchor Cordario shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gaston Ramirez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melchor Cordario received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Gaston Ramirez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Defensores de Marucha's Leopoldo Lazcano was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 66th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Leopoldo Lazcano struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Gaudencio Harri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Defensores de Marucha. After a rather tough play, Defensores de Marucha's Agustin Costante got a free kick in the 76th minute. The corner led Unión AFC's Higinio Aureo to fire away a dangerous shot which Gaston Ramirez despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Bernabe Velasco tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Gaudencio Harri. An unnecessary self made goal, 1-2 in the 80th minute. Gaston Ramirez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Javier Tono in the 93rd minute of the match.
