When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 0-5 when Emilio Salomon sped through Alvear's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nestor Senen. In the 43rd match minute, Alvear was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelo Tebaldo to maneuver through the defense. Nestor Senen was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Celedonio Ramos showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 61 minute of play. When the final whistle sounded LUGANO FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Alvear.
