The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Defensa y Justicia F.C booed when Chorillo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albano Leoncio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Segundo Erdiano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Andres Batista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Andres Batista was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. But to his dismay, Norberto Fagildo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Norberto Fagildo might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andres Batista. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Norberto Fagildo ran back to his position shaking his head. Norberto Fagildo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Norberto Fagildo in the 31st minute of play forced Defensa y Justicia F.C's goalkeeper Andres Batista to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Segundo Erdiano blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andres Batista having to make a save. When Norberto Fagildo came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Chorillo AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Norberto Fagildo couldn't finish the play. Segundo Erdiano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 91stth minute tested the skills of Andres Batista when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Chorillo AFC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
