The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Los Diablitos Ricoteros's Dante Eli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Los Diablitos Ricoteros from getting a goal against them. Dante Eli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dante Pelagius in the 6th minute of play. After 13 played minutes Los Diablitos Ricoteros got a freekick which was hit by Federico Frances. Nuno Mota took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dante Eli. Los Diablitos Ricoteros's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jorge Jerano struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Dante Eli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Olascoaga. 22 minutes into the match, Los Diablitos Ricoteros's goal looked a bit too open when Nunez Cordarryl came free, but Dante Eli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 29th minute, Dante Pelagius reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dante Eli. The goal made the score 2-0. In the 45th minute, Dante Pelagius ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dante Eli was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alvaro Pepillo was the one to do the kick off. In the 59th minute Dante Pelagius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Eli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Celso Carlomagno hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the match, Los Diablitos Ricoteros's goal looked a bit too open when Nunez Cordarryl came free, but Dante Eli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Los Diablitos Ricoteros's Dante Eli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dante Pelagius in the 68th minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Dante Pelagius cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Dante Eli was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 76th minute Nunez Cordarryl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Eli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcos Rudolfo came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Los Diablitos Ricoteros's Alfredo Mitxel. But to his dismay, Alfredo Mitxel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. After a rather tough play, Los Diablitos Ricoteros's Celso Carlomagno got a free kick in the 97th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nuno Mota in the 98th minute of play forced Los Diablitos Ricoteros's goalkeeper Dante Eli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
