Osvaldo Eliazar dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Osvaldo Eliazar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freddy Orzaize in the 28th minute of the match. Osvaldo Eliazar came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Curapaligüé's Freddy Orzaize. But to his dismay, Freddy Orzaize quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After having played for 34 minutes, Claudio Rami managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Curapaligüé's supporters crossed their fingers, but Claudio Rami was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by David Urbasa in the 37th minute of play forced Curapaligüé's goalkeeper Reynaldo Todor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. David Urbasa's late challenge caught a Curapaligüé's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. David Urbasa helped the player get up and apologised. David Urbasa kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Claudio Rami charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Claudio Rami the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 46th match minute, Curapaligüé was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Rami to maneuver through the defense. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

A collision led to Heráclito Fobal Clu getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Luis Asteri hit a great ball. Luis Asteri received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Reynaldo Todor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Paulino Montrelle made a precise shot to the right of Reynaldo Todor. Curapaligüé's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. In the 83rd minute Zeledon Llope shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reynaldo Todor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reynaldo Todor stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zeledon Llope's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Curapaligüé players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Heráclito Fobal Clu.
