Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. A collision led to Cuesta getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Domingos Urdaspal hit a great ball. The audience held their breath when Nestor Brais in the 11th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Moises Gasteiz's left hand side. Severino Nardo's late challenge caught a Cuesta's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Severino Nardo helped the player get up and apologised. Moises Gasteiz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luciano Mikolas, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Braulio Jaunzuria got free with Moises Gasteiz in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Manuel Benvido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ladislao Gorbea in the 48th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Venancio Medina made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Braulio Jaunzuria shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Moises Gasteiz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Benvido made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Venancio Medina in the 55th minute of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manuel Benvido prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Cuesta booed when Chapuy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nunez Manny didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 66 minutes, Ladislao Gorbea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cuesta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ladislao Gorbea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 72nd match minute, Chapuy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lino Ubendu to maneuver through the defense. Braulio Jaunzuria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Moises Gasteiz having to interfere. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Manuel Benvido, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Manuel Benvido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Venancio Medina, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venancio Medina struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Manuel Benvido didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cuesta. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Cuesta walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
