Spectators: 6661 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1661, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tiburcio Orzaize started the match with the kick off. Tiburcio Orzaize received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Hernan Sagrario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 7 minutes, Tiburcio Orzaize made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Durazno AFC's Hernan Sagrario tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Durazno AFC's Hernan Sagrario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiburcio Orzaize in the 12th minute of play. In the 15thth minute of the game Tiburcio Orzaize who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Durazno AFC's Hernan Sagrario was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tiburcio Orzaize's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hernan Sagrario read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. Newppy's Oscar Azibar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Newppy from getting a goal against them. Anibal Rius kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Teodosio Salvator received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Hernan Sagrario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Teodosio Salvator took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 43rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hernan Sagrario. Durazno AFC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. When Sixto Maidana fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Durazno AFC's protests and gave Sixto Maidana a yellow card for diving instead. Sixto Maidana hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiburcio Orzaize in the 48th minute of play forced Durazno AFC's goalkeeper Hernan Sagrario to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Leonardo Cordaryal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Newppy's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Gorbea came free, but Oscar Azibar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Newppy's Siro Bitxintxo got a free kick in the 57th minute. If Sixto Maidana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Siro Bitxintxo hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. Hernan Sagrario made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tiburcio Orzaize in the 70th minute. 73 minutes into the match, Newppy's goal looked a bit too open when Jacinto Gorbea came free, but Oscar Azibar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Jacinto Gorbea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiburcio Orzaize sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Durazno AFC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 82nd minute, when Samuel Luzaide scored to the left of an out of position Hernan Sagrario, making the score, 0-2. Tiburcio Orzaize took the ball and in the 86 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hernan Sagrario. Hernan Sagrario dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Tiburcio Orzaize received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Hernan Sagrario tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Jacinto Gorbea came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Durazno AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jacinto Gorbea couldn't finish the play. Newppy's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
