DON BENITO's Pertti Nutikka played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernabe Herrera in the 25th minute of play. Pertti Nutikka didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Simon Eskuin went, in the 26th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Amancio Socorro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pertti Nutikka having to interfere. The supporters of ATLETICO TUCUMAN booed when DON BENITO was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roque Telmo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in DON BENITO's zone, Simon Eskuin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pertti Nutikka came out of the goal and Simon Eskuin tried to chip the ball over his head. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the ATLETICO TUCUMAN players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
