An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicolas Etxahun in the 5th minute of play forced Dock Sud's goalkeeper Zeledon Baudelio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Menendo in the 8th minute of play forced San Marino's goalkeeper Clemente Dolfo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Melchor Richie fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clemente Dolfo having to interfere. In the 12th minute Gerardo Menendo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clemente Dolfo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clemente Dolfo made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Melchor Richie sent off a good shot on target. 20 minutes into the match, San Marino's goalkeeper Clemente Dolfo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Melchor Richie. After a rather tough play, San Marino's Nicolas Etxahun got a free kick in the 28th minute. Clemente Dolfo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gerardo Menendo showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 35 minute of play. In the 39th minute, Melchor Richie had to leave the field with a concussion. After a rather tough play, San Marino's Flavio Nesor got a free kick in the 41st minute. Gerardo Menendo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Clemente Dolfo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bernardo Fresco succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 47th playminute.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gerardo Menendo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind San Marino's goalkeeper Clemente Dolfo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Julio Ovando charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Julio Ovando the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gerardo Menendo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Clemente Dolfo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Clemente Dolfo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerardo Menendo, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Zeledon Baudelio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Julio Ovando in the 68th minute of the match. After 70 played minutes Dock Sud got a freekick which was hit by Bernardo Fresco. Hermengildo Evis's late challenge caught a San Marino's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hermengildo Evis helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Dock Sud getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Hermengildo Evis hit a great ball. After some careless play in the San Marino defense, Bernardo Fresco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Clemente Dolfo. The San Marino fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clemente Dolfo should have stopped the shot. In the 88th minute, Gerardo Menendo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bernardo Fresco struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Clemente Dolfo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dock Sud. When the referee ended the match the Dock Sud players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
