The Cachetazo Futbol Barrial fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dirk Gasteren should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Cactaca getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Federico Procopio hit a great ball. The supporters of Cachetazo Futbol Barrial booed when Cactaca was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thanks to some nice moves Olimpiu Stoicescu could shoot a difficult shot in the 26th minute, which Anastasio Santos however easily saved by the left post. Rodrigo Palacio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 40th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cactaca's goalkeeper Anastasio Santos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 42nd match minute, Cactaca was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anastasio Euloxu to maneuver through the defense. Rodrigo Palacio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Anastasio Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olimpiu Stoicescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Dirk Gasteren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Federico Procopio in the 61st minute. Cachetazo Futbol Barrial's Dirk Gasteren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anastasio Euloxu in the 66th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Federico Procopio got free with Dirk Gasteren in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Cactaca's zone, Rodrigo Palacio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anastasio Santos came out of the goal and Rodrigo Palacio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The long shot by Dionisio Nalo in the 80th minute really tested Dirk Gasteren's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Federico Procopio came free with the goalkeeper in the 85th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Dirk Gasteren could save by the left post. A collision led to Cachetazo Futbol Barrial getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Adriana Santos hit a great ball. Cachetazo Futbol Barrial's Dirk Gasteren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 87th minute of the match, managed to save Cachetazo Futbol Barrial from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Cachetazo Futbol Barrial's Gaspar Alvarez got a free kick in the 88th minute. With an all-out effort, Cactaca's Dirk Gasteren threw himself towards the right post 89 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anastasio Euloxu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Rodrigo Palacio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anastasio Santos having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Olimpiu Stoicescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cachetazo Futbol Barrial's Rodrigo Palacio got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rodrigo Palacio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 100th minute. Anastasio Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
