Baiarte Villafaña could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 3rd minute of the match, but Jeremias Abeitia made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Leon Berart managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hunter FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Leon Berart was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeremias Abeitia breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 13th minute, Andres Brion got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hunter FC's Andres Vergaray played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemente Gorbea in the 15th minute of play. The supporters of Hunter FC booed when Lumbreras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lino Muno didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute, Elvio Isauro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Andres Vergaray showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elvio Isauro in the 29th minute of the match. Andres Vergaray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elvio Isauro in the 31st minute of play. A collision led to Lumbreras getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Lino Muno hit a great ball. Lumbreras's Jeremias Abeitia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dionisio Chale in the 37th minute of play. If Andres Brion had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andres Brion was the one to do the kick off. Jeremias Abeitia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Baiarte Villafaña went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After 57 played minutes Hunter FC got a freekick which was hit by Baiarte Villafaña. Andres Vergaray made an important save on a dangerous shot by Elvio Isauro in the 64th minute. Silvestre Gamus hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. After 70 played minutes Hunter FC got a freekick which was hit by Silvestre Gamus. Andres Brion might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Andres Vergaray. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andres Brion ran back to his position shaking his head. Andres Vergaray made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Julio Chucho in the 72nd minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Julio Chucho notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Hunter FC's Andres Vergaray. Andres Vergaray was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Hunter FC's Celestino Rami was substituted for Silvestre Gamus. After some careless play in the Lumbreras defense, Dionisio Chale kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jeremias Abeitia. The Lumbreras fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jeremias Abeitia should have stopped the shot. Andres Brion struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Andres Vergaray didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lumbreras. Andres Vergaray made a fantastic save in the 86th minute, when Elvio Isauro sent off a good shot on target. If Julio Chucho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the game, Leon Berart was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hunter FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lumbreras the free kick. The supporters of Lumbreras booed when Hunter FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leon Berart didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andres Brion in the 95th minute of play forced Hunter FC's goalkeeper Andres Vergaray to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home crowd let out a huge roar when the referee blew for the end of the game. Hunter FC were victorious despite being under pressure from Lumbreras for much of the match.
