Fausto Orlo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evelio Darien, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Estela AFC booed when Club Atletico Peques was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnulfo Opilano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Blas Argina might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fausto Orlo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Blas Argina ran back to his position shaking his head. Fausto Orlo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evelio Darien in the 12th minute of the match. In the 16th minute Evelio Darien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fausto Orlo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fausto Orlo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blas Argina, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. After 18 played minutes Club Atletico Peques got a freekick which was hit by Ovidio Liher. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evelio Darien in the 19th minute of play forced Club Atletico Peques's goalkeeper Fausto Orlo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico Peques's zone, Evelio Darien stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto Orlo came out of the goal and Evelio Darien tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Silverio Bizi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rigoberto Karmel got free with Albino Gizon in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Evelio Darien scored 0-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fausto Orlo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Silverio Bizi's late challenge caught a Estela AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Silverio Bizi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 48th minute of the match, Rigoberto Karmel got a very nice opportunity to score, but Albino Gizon was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After the first half Estela AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Evelio Darien was the one to do the kick off. Ruben Pacorro hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. Rigoberto Karmel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Club Atletico Peques's Fausto Orlo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Evelio Darien in the 60th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Estela AFC's Ulises Silviano got a free kick in the 61st minute. Albino Gizon didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Club Atletico Peques's Rigoberto Karmel shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-1 in the ordered_time% minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Evelio Darien in the 87th minute of play forced Club Atletico Peques's goalkeeper Fausto Orlo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
