Remigio Cayo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for San Martin SJ. Remigio Cayo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antonio Jerano's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. Conrado Txatxu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Remigio Cayo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Conrado Txatxu kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. In the 38th minute of the match Carmelo Irrintzi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Remigio Cayo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 39th minute Conrado Txatxu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remigio Cayo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Antonio Jerano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 44 minutes, Antonio Jerano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. San Martin SJ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonio Jerano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Emiliano Cristofol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ramon Shantala in the 54th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Herminio Chan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Remigio Cayo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Prospero Bernabel showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 62 minute of play. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, River plate's Remigio Cayo got control of the ball when Raimundo Pes tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Conrado Txatxu managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Martin SJ's supporters rose to their feet, but Conrado Txatxu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Remigio Cayo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Antonio Jerano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ambrosio Argider charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ambrosio Argider the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, San Martin SJ's Ambrosio Argider got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Remigio Cayo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antonio Jerano in the 88th minute of play. San Martin SJ's Antonio Jerano got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Antonio Jerano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Remigio Cayo. That made the score 2-4 in the 93 minute of play.
