In the 19th minute, Eloy Rivas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The GIMNASIA DE JUJUY fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 22 minutes into the match, Erasmo Elija had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Victorino Pere. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Earnest Diehl showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The Gilbert FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. GIMNASIA DE JUJUY were winning 0-5.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erasmo Elija to make the kick off. Victorino Pere showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erasmo Elija, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Dionisio Amato who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 88thth minute tested the skills of Victorino Pere when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The GIMNASIA DE JUJUY fans' excitement grew in the 89th match minute when GIMNASIA DE JUJUY's Dionisio Amato looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-9 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Nicolas Calvino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Earnest Diehl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. GIMNASIA DE JUJUY played a much better game than Gilbert FC and deserved their victory. The Gilbert FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
