Fermin Rencio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 16th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atletico Banfield's goalkeeper Fermin Rencio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 20th minute, Jesus Venceslas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the game, one of Club Atletico Banfield:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Fermin Rencio had in the 25thth minute some difficulties stopping Gaspar Eufrasio's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a rather tough play, Club Atletico Banfield's Eulalio Pietro got a free kick in the 25th minute. Fermin Rencio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eulalio Jenaro's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. Fermin Rencio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jairo Guillem in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atletico Banfield's goalkeeper Fermin Rencio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Club Atletico Banfield's goal looked a bit too open when Eulalio Jenaro came free, but Fermin Rencio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute Eulalio Jenaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fermin Rencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eulalio Jenaro was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eulalio Jenaro in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fermin Rencio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eulalio Jenaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fermin Rencio having to interfere. Eulalio Jenaro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Fermin Rencio came out and tried to block the shot, but Eulalio Jenaro slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 59th minute. Eulalio Jenaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Eulalio Jenaro put it in 0-7 from a short distance just to the right of Fermin Rencio. 70 minutes into the game, Mecos Team's Jairo Guillem nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Fermin Rencio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-8. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eulalio Jenaro in the 74th minute of play forced Club Atletico Banfield's goalkeeper Fermin Rencio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 76th minute Eulalio Jenaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fermin Rencio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 76 minutes into the game, Jesus Venceslas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Club Atletico Banfield's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mecos Team the free kick. Eulalio Jenaro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 85th minute. Mecos Team's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Fermin Rencio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luciano Socorro in the 86th minute of the match. Fermin Rencio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Eulalio Jenaro's shot from short distance in the 89th minute. Mecos Team's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
