With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julio Urbes in the 35th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Dei saved Franklin FC from getting behind. After 39 minutes, Tomás Montay mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Franklin FC and the Chucaro F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. Victoriano Porfirio was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 41 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 41st minute of the game. One of Franklin FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Chucaro F.C:s goal. The referee gave Chucaro F.C a penalty, 44 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Eulalio Pais, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Franklin FC's Jorge Dei. 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hernan Ramos was the one to do the kick off. Franklin FC's Jorge Dei played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edgard Emeterio in the 53rd minute of play. After having played for 55 minutes, Julio Urbes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chucaro F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Julio Urbes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jeronimo Loi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Franklin FC's zone, Julio Urbes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jorge Dei came out of the goal and Julio Urbes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jorge Dei took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Emeterio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chucaro F.C were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after Franklin FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Eulalio Pais took the corner. The audience thought a goal was coming when Julio Urbes got free with Jorge Dei in the 66th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Chucaro F.C getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Edgard Emeterio hit a great ball. The supporters of Chucaro F.C booed when Franklin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hernan Ramos didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Edgard Emeterio came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Chucaro F.C fans jumped to their feet.
