Severiano Vedillo charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Severiano Vedillo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Severiano Vedillo kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. A collision led to Sarakatunga AFC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Daniel Sindo hit a great ball. Hipolito Norino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomás Lonzo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomás Lonzo in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hipolito Norino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 32nd minute, BANFIELD's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Pastor Natanael fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Ciriaco Indalecio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Hipolito Norino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tomás Lonzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hipolito Norino came out of the goal in the 44th minute to try and stop a shot by BANFIELD's Ciriaco Indalecio. But to his dismay, Ciriaco Indalecio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. The Sarakatunga AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. BANFIELD were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Pastor Natanael to make the kick off. Horacio Xabat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Sindo in the 52nd minute of play. In the 59th minute Ciriaco Indalecio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hipolito Norino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ciriaco Indalecio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Hipolito Norino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tomás Lonzo might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hipolito Norino. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomás Lonzo ran back to his position shaking his head. 72 minutes into the match, Sarakatunga AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ciriaco Indalecio came free, but Hipolito Norino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hipolito Norino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ciriaco Indalecio, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Horacio Xabat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pastor Natanael in the 82nd minute of play. Daniel Sindo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Horacio Xabat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pastor Natanael, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. If Pastor Natanael had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pastor Natanael in the 94th minute of play forced BANFIELD's goalkeeper Horacio Xabat to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th match minute, Sarakatunga AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guaberto Ursino to maneuver through the defense. In the 97th minute of the match Cornelio Xabier sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hipolito Norino skillfully saved the ball.
