In the 23rd minute the ball was on its way in behind La Zaeta Roja's goalkeeper Saul Playo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Arsenio Cordairo hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Iker Semeno took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 31st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Saul Playo. La Zaeta Roja's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 36th minute, Godofredo Cordarell got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 38 played minutes Taquimilán got a freekick which was hit by Iker Semeno. With a little luck, Taquimilán's Valentin Marcones got control of the ball when Mauricio Osoro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 40th minute Daniel Roldan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Marcones saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Saul Playo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Godofredo Cordarell's shot from short distance in the 43rd minute. Saul Playo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Severino Astudillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mauricio Osoro was the one to do the kick off. In the 66th minute, Arsenio Cordairo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Astudillo in the 70th minute of play forced La Zaeta Roja's goalkeeper Saul Playo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Severino Astudillo struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Saul Playo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Taquimilán. If Severino Astudillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Saul Playo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Godofredo Cordarell's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. In the 88th minute, Severino Astudillo fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Saul Playo, passed just outside the right post. After a defensive mix-up in La Zaeta Roja's zone, Godofredo Cordarell stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saul Playo came out of the goal and Godofredo Cordarell tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mauricio Osoro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Valentin Marcones tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the match, Taquimilán's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Roldan came free, but Valentin Marcones reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
