In the 8th minute Norberto Arlo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Silvestre Ikatz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leon Brais lost his temper 11 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Leon Brais hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. UNICOS's Paolo Aguilera got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 15 minutes into the match, Arenal's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto Arlo came free, but Silvestre Ikatz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute, Emiliano Reyes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arenal's supporters rose to their feet, but Vinicio Enmanuel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emiliano Iratxo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the UNICOS defense, Vinicio Enmanuel kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emiliano Iratxo. The UNICOS fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emiliano Iratxo should have stopped the shot. Vinicio Enmanuel struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Emiliano Iratxo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arenal. When Adriana Patxi came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Arenal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adriana Patxi couldn't finish the play. Vinicio Enmanuel might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Emiliano Iratxo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vinicio Enmanuel ran back to his position shaking his head. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vinicio Enmanuel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to UNICOS getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. In the 77th match minute, Arenal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timoteo Toro to maneuver through the defense. 81 minutes into the match, Arenal's Vinicio Enmanuel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Emiliano Iratxo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 82nd minute, one of UNICOS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for UNICOS. Lisandro Ramirez shot the penalty kick right outside the post. In the 87th minute, Adriana Patxi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vinicio Enmanuel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Iratxo having to interfere. UNICOS's Emiliano Iratxo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vinicio Enmanuel in the 93rd minute of play. Silvestre Ikatz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geronimo Manuelo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arenal's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
