Karl-Åke Österberg charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Karl-Åke Österberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to los cumbieros FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Blas Nalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blas Nalo was a little too slow when Cosme Florian got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 56th minute. The score was now 1-3. los cumbieros FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 70th minute, when Laureano Delfino scored to the left of an out of position Blas Nalo, making the score, 1-5. A collision led to los cumbieros FC getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Sergei Klintrup hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute of the match Evaristo Montez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Blas Nalo skillfully saved the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Federico Gomez got free with Blas Nalo in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Federico Gomez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Blas Nalo made a huge save. Blas Nalo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Laureano Delfino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Maipú booed when los cumbieros FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. When the match was over Maipú could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than los cumbieros FC throughout the match.
