Ramon Ermengol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Simon Dantae tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Rojo Futbol Club's Iker Malvin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Santiago Dolcet. That made the score 1-0 after 14 minutes of play. Simon Dantae came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by GIMNASIA Y TIRO DE SALTA's Ramon Ermengol. But to his dismay, Ramon Ermengol quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After some careless play in the Rojo Futbol Club defense, Ramon Ermengol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Simon Dantae. The Rojo Futbol Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Simon Dantae should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Ramon Ermengol managed to get in a good position for a shot. GIMNASIA Y TIRO DE SALTA's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramon Ermengol was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Simon Dantae breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ramon Ermengol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eloy Benitez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Simon Dantae tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Haroldo Tajo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Santiago Dolcet made a huge save. Juvenal Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Cristobal Urbez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Santiago Dolcet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

Simon Dantae made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ramon Ermengol in the 55th minute of play. Ramon Ermengol struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Simon Dantae didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GIMNASIA Y TIRO DE SALTA. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Ramon Ermengol took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Simon Dantae to make any attempt to save it. After having played for 65 minutes, Juvenal Mendes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GIMNASIA Y TIRO DE SALTA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Juvenal Mendes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th minute, Tobias Goi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juvenal Mendes struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Simon Dantae didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GIMNASIA Y TIRO DE SALTA. Santiago Dolcet showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iker Malvin in the 78th minute of the match. A collision led to GIMNASIA Y TIRO DE SALTA getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Jacobo Illart hit a great ball. Santiago Dolcet took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haroldo Tajo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juvenal Mendes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Simon Dantae having to make a save. Juvenal Mendes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Simon Dantae having to interfere. GIMNASIA Y TIRO DE SALTA played a much better game than Rojo Futbol Club and deserved their victory. The Rojo Futbol Club players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
